In 2015, Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM) evaluated that from 2016,e-commerce entered a new phase with the outstanding feature of fast and stable development. Modern format stores capturing Vietnamese shopper trips
From a shopper perspective, the shifts in modern trade structure should bring a positive change for the Vietnamese shoppers because shoppers now have more options to shop and buy. The latest global Nielsen’s Shopper Trend report reveals that while Vietnamese shoppers reduced their visits to wet markets, they go to convenience stores, minimarts, personal care/drug stores and traditional grocery stores more often. On 16/12/2016 at the 3rd Executive Board meeting of the 3rd term, Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM) has approved the 2017 work plan.
