[Ho Chi Minh City, 14 January 2022] With the unanimous agreement of the Standing Committee, the Vietnam E-Commerce Association held the 2nd Executive Committee Meeting for the 4th term. This is an annual event held annually to summarize and evaluate the results achieved and build and give additional comments to complete the 2022 Work Plan. Attending the conference were the members of the Executive Committee for the fourth term; Close members have contributed and been attached to the development of the Association over the past time.
The 2nd Executive Committee Meeting took place directly in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dung, Chairman of Vietnam E-Commerce Association, gave the opening speech of the conference.

The conference was opened through the 2021 Final Report. This summary report builds on the direction of operation adopted at the 4th National Congress of the Vietnam E-Commerce Association, the implementation of operations in 2021 - 2025, the National E-commerce Development Master Plan for the period of 2021 - 2025 and the practice of e-commerce development.
According to the Association, in 2021 the country is seriously troubled by the Covid-19 pandemic but e-commerce is still standing, even with breakthroughs in some areas.
Mr. Tran Van Trong – General Secretary of VECOM adopted the summary report with the task of advising on legal policy criticism: In 2021 VECOM has closely coordinated with state agencies, specifically the General Department of Taxation and member enterprises to organize comments on the draft Circular No. 40/2021/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance guiding VAT, PIT and tax administration for business households and business individuals are issued on June 1, 2021. On September 17, VECOM sent a written response to the draft Decree on management of exports and imports of transactions via e-commerce. The draft has attracted great public interest in the field of e-commerce over the past year.

Following the results achieved in 2021, the 2022 Operation Plan was presented by Mr. Tran Van Trong – General Secretary of VECOM with specific activities. In its legal policy consultation and criticism plan, VECOM will place more emphasis on legal documents relating to trade, information and communications technology, advertising, intellectual property, consumer rights protection, competition, delivery and logistics, payments, cybersecurity. Paying high attention to the development of policies and laws related to information security and decrees guiding the Law on Cybersecurity directly affecting e-commerce enterprises; digital economy development, including sharing economy, application of blockchain technology in the field of logistics and traceability of agricultural products, direct tourism...
One of the most important pieces of the Vietnam E-Commerce Association is the specialized committees: Inspection Board, Member Board, Cooperation Board, Communication Department, Human Resource Development Department, Fintech Board, E-commerce Platform Board, Logistics and Order Fulfillment Board, Start-up board.
