In recent years, Son La province has introduced many policies and solutions to support and promote digital transformation and e-commerce development. By the end of 2022, 1,957 businesses are making online tax declaration and payment; 100% of supermarkets and trade centers have cashless POS payment devices; Business establishments in the centers of districts and cities have applied non-cash payment methods. Cooperatives and farmer households have taken advantage of social networks and e-commerce platforms to promote and consume agricultural products. Son La's products and agricultural products are available at most major e-commerce platforms in the country.
However, Son La's e-commerce development compared to the national average, Son La's technical and telecommunications infrastructure is still difficult and limited; There is a shortage of qualified human resources in the field of e-commerce. Son La's products are mainly fresh fruit products, with large output, harvest season, short storage time, easily damaged, and reduced quality if there is no proper preservation and transportation process. fit.
On the other hand, the province does not have businesses providing professional logistics services for agricultural products, making it difficult to put the above items on e-commerce platforms, with high prices. Most of the e-commerce sites in Son La province just stop at the form of promotion, product introduction, lack of support services such as marketing, payment, order fulfillment...
